About the QuickCam Team web site

Who maintains it

The QuickCam Team website is maintained by Logitech's video engineering team.

What it is

Our website should give you a chance to talk to the developers directly, but also to share your problems and thoughts with other users.

We are providing the community with:

  • Unofficial support for Logitech webcams on non-Windows platforms like Linux or Solaris
  • Developer information for Windows and other platforms
  • A platform for webcam-related discussion focused on open source platforms

One important point: Even though this site is maintained by Logitech we welcome the discussion of non-Logitech products and we will strive to provide information in a neutral manner. Open source support for webcams is often not manufacturer specific and what benefits users of one brand will very likely benefit the users of other brands, too. For that, we need your contributions.

The goal is to make the QuickCam Team web site your site. Right now, the only interactive part is the forum, but we welcome contributions to the other parts of the website. If you feel that something is missing, or if would like to contribute, please bring it up in the forum or contact us directly.

What it is not

For resource reasons we cannot support you with "normal" issues that belong in the area of customer support. If you experience problems with the installation of our products on Windows or similar issues, please visit Logitech's official support pages instead. If you're a developer in need of technical information, however, you're at the right place!
