These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern the use of this website, including the posting and downloading of any software from this Website. These Terms are in addition to any licenses that may accompany any downloaded software.

Use of this Website

We have set up this website to promote the exchange of ideas and information. Except for any works that are subject to another license, you are free to copy, distribute, perform, display and create derivative works of any content in the Wiki or in our forums, on the condition that you attribute the work in the manner specified (if any) by the author. For example, if a poster includes a copyright notice, you can copy the posting but you must include that person's copyright notice.

For content that is licensed, you must comply with the terms and conditions of that license. For example, any use of software distributed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) must conform with the terms of the GPL.

Likewise, you are agreeing in these Terms to share your contributions. Please read the Forum Rules below to understand what rights you are granting to others if you do not specify a license when you post content or contribute code.

Forum Rules

To post messages on our forums, you must register and choose a unique user name. Duplicate user names are not allowed, so if the name you enter is already in use, you will be prompted to choose another one.

Any message posted on our forums expresses only the views of the author of the message and does not necessarily reflect the views of Logitech or any person or entity associated with it. While Logitech may use moderators and administrators to monitor the content and appearance of messages posted in our forums, you acknowledge that Logitech is under no obligation to do so. Considering the real-time nature of this bulletin board, it is impossible for us to monitor or review every message.

You agree that neither Logitech, nor any person or entity associated with it, will be held responsible for the contents, accuracy, completeness or validity of any information posted on our forums. You agree that you will not use our forums to post any material, or links to any material, which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law. You agree you will not post any copyrighted material without the express permission of the copyright holder, unless such copyright is owned by you or Logitech.

We ask that if you do not own the copyrights in any code you may post, please include the license terms or a link to the license in your post. Otherwise, we will assume that the code is yours and free for everyone to use, subject to the license below.

Unless you specify that the content of your post is either public domain or subject to another license (e.g. GPL), you hereby grant everyone who reads our forums (including Logitech) a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to copy, distribute, perform, display, create derivative works of, and otherwise use content and information you post in our forums for any purpose and in any media now known or hereinafter developed. Subject to any licenses or other conditions specified in your post, you expressly agree that everyone is free to use any ideas, concepts, know-how, or techniques contained in any posting or communication you send to Logitech without compensation and for any purpose whatsoever, including but not limited to, developing, manufacturing and marketing products and services using such information. If you are editing the Wiki, the license grant in this paragraph applies to your content.

We reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason at and our sole discretion. You agree that you are solely responsible for the content of your messages.

You agree that you will not: (i) take any action that imposes, or may impose in our sole discretion an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure; (ii) copy, reproduce, modify, create derivative works from, distribute or publicly display any content from this website without the prior written permission of Logitech and any third parties, if applicable; (iii) interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of the website or any activities conducted on the website.

Logitech may use information collected from you as set forth in our Privacy Policy. You are encouraged to read our Privacy Policy to understand our information collection and use practices.
